What it feels like to play

Part chase, part strategy game, part “wait, are they behind the school?”

The map

Live boundary, coin drops, a ticking clock, and a TAG button you have to earn.

HIDE/SEEK photo prompt list: Street Sign, Digits, Curb Appeal, and more, each with a coin cost

The questions

Every clue costs coins. Spend smart, or go broke guessing.

The reveal

Answers land like game-show moments. HOTTER. Keep walking.

How a round works

Draw a safe play area, pick one Hider, and start the clock.

  1. 1

    Draw the play area

Trace the streets, park, or campus paths where the round will happen. Keep it small and quick, or stretch it across the neighborhood.

  2. 2

    The Hider locks a spot

The Hider chooses a real spot inside the boundary. Once it is locked, moving takes a Smoke Bomb.

  3. 3

    Seekers follow the clues

Spend coins on questions and tools to narrow the search. Every answer pulls the map a little tighter.

  4. 4

    Tag before time runs out

Get close enough to tag the Hider before the clock hits zero. Run out of time, and the Hider wins.

Two teams, one ticking clock

Seekers spend coins to ask better questions. Hiders use cards and traps to bluff, stall, and slip away.

Seekers narrow the map

Radar

¢

See how far away the Hider is with a ring on the map.

Scanner

¢¢¢

Point yourself in the right direction for a few precious seconds.

Thermometer

¢

Walk, then ask: warmer or colder?

Photo

¢¢

The Hider has to send a picture. Good luck framing that.

Hiders stay slippery

POWER MOVE

Smoke Bomb

Wipe the map clean and slip away to a new spot.

TRAP

Jammer

Scramble nearby Seeker tools when they get too close.

TRAP

Pickpocket

Skim coins from a Seeker who gets too close.

The deck keeps growing. New cards and traps keep each round feeling different.

FAQ

Questions, answered

What do we need to play?

Each player needs an iPhone and a safe place to walk, like a neighborhood, park, or campus. The beta is free through TestFlight.

How many people can play?

Up to 8 players per round. One Hider, everyone else seeks. Anyone else can spectate from a browser.

Where can we play?

Anywhere you can walk safely. The host draws the play area, and the round stays inside that boundary.

Will it eat my battery?

It uses GPS similarly to a maps app. Start with a reasonable charge and you should be good for an evening of rounds.

Is it on Android?

iPhone only for now.
